hi everyonr. need hrlp understanding what may be going on with my apm 2,5 i cut the small trace to disable the apm compass so the external compass woul be the main but the apm compas is still working? i tested with my meter to make sure the trace was cut and it is . any suggestions

The inertial navigation can make it seem like the internal compass is working when it isn't -- i.e., the mission planner HUD heading will rotate when you yaw the APM.
One easy way to tell if this is the case is if it always starts at North when you apply power and connect, even if it's not pointed north. You can also use the terminal test - compass function for a more definitive answer.
