I am trying to set up the failsafe in adrucopter .
I am using a APM2.5 running 3.1 software .
My radio is a 9XR with opentx software and an Open LRS module.
I have gone through the instructions and try as I might I cant get it to work .When I turn off the TX
The throttle range goes up to 1610 instead of dropping to 986 .
I did have the TX RX working correctly on my bixler with another APM2.5
Hope someone can point me in the wright direction.

You need to set the failsafe in your RC receiver to have a low PWM value. You would normally do that by commanding such a value (with 9XR, I recommend a "replace" rule based on a switch) then set the failsafe on the receiver with the TX in that state.
