Failsafe mux "hack" - possible?

I have been looking at the failsafe mux for use in a future project, but I have a question before I buy it...can I run the inputs and outputs in reverse (i.e., use the inputs as outputs and vice versa?)

I'm trying to switch a single set of PWM signals (inputs) back and forth to two sets of servos/control surfaces (outputs.) It seems like this should work if the mux chip is just a plain mux, but I want to be sure before I buy the board.

    Yea, that's what it does. You need to download the schematic from the DIY store. What you want is the definition of a mux or multiplexer. Switching one set of inputs(4) between two sets of outputs. Google the part # of the mux chip "74LS1570".
