Failsafe with 9xr and Frsky?

None of the tutorials seem to work for me.

For example if I turn off the 9xr the pwm value goes to 50% throttle instead of -10% to activate failsafe.

Can someone please explain how this works? I already crashed my hexa due to this and I just finished rebuilding it.

So how do I set RTL failsafe with a 9xr and a frysky module?

Any info is Greatly appreciated!

    Hello,

This is how I did it:

Create a copy of your model in the t9x (I am using er9x firmware, not the default firmware). Then modify the throttle channel to allow +25% range extension. In such a way, when the throttle is fully down, PWM value should be 900 (instead of 989). Then follow what Tom tells you to program this throttle 900 value in the receiver.

  • FrSky fail-safe
Option 1 -User determine state on signal loss
    1) Bind the receiver to the transmitter module first and turn on both the transmitter and the receiver.
    2) Move the controls to desired fail-safe position for all channels.
    3) Press briefly the F/S button on the receiver and you are done

Option 2- Fail-safe for no pulses on lost signal.
    1) Press briefly the F/S button on the receiver while the transmitter is off and you are done.

  • Have you updated your PPM encoder?
