I've been trying to find a simple roll compensating gimbal (single axis or compact 2 axis) to mount a camera inside a payload bay. It seems if you want to use anything larger than a GoPro the gimbals are huge 2 and 3 axis things.
I'm trying to keep the camera pointing down for mapping. Does anyone know of something simple and preferably compact that could handle, say, a mirrorless camera?

Somehow "mapping" and "gimbal" didn't turn these up in all of my searching. I think my google's broken. Yea, I was looking at the direct drive type and I think that drove my search in wrong directions also.
I was even looking at Dennis Baldwins videos earlier as well and didn't see this.
Thanks a lot!
There are lots of mapping gimbals, servo driven not the direct drive brushless. ArduPlane controls the servos directly. You just need to set it up. google "mapping gimbal".
