Hi all-
I'm wondering if "follow me" mode while work while skiing? On the wiki page it says that since the copter is in loiter mode it will use the barometer to maintain altitude, but since the user is descending down the mountain while skiing, how will the copter know to descend at the same rate?

I know that the copter will follow you however you program it (leash... to the left side, behind you at a distance, etc.), but I do not know how quickly it will adjust to sudden elevation changes while skiing. I DO know that you can use a pebble watch to make adjustment changes on the fly, which connects to your android phone via blue tooth, and then your phone connects to the telemetry module via a micro usb to USB OTG adapter. You MIGHT be able to program it to make certain elevation changes before you take off and ski down the mountain, but I don't know how...? Anyways, I know that you can enable verify height in mission planner (don't know about droidplanner), but maybe you can verify height while in follow me mode...? That's all the advice I can give you currently with what I know :) !

Thanks for the help! I forgot about the verify height feature- it worked!
...Then it crashed into a tree. I suspect it was the cold messing with the battery voltage though.

Where are you thinking of skiing at? Terrain and surrounding obstacles will also play a factor as well as some other things.
