i add a telemetry modem to my ardu today.i will use the GCS groundstation software on notebook...

but on the map on right side ist my position into the atlantik !  :-(   my gps fix is ok.

#define GCS_PROTOCOL 0            // 0 = Standard ArduPilot (LabVIEW/HappyKillmore), 1 = special test, 2 = Ardupilot Binary(not implemented), 5 = Jason's GCS

i have test booth...  0 and 5.at 0 see above.with parameter 5 i don´t get anything on GCS !?!

  • Olli, you return on your page office you your PC.
    * To start
    * control panel
    * regional and linguistic options
    * clic on personalizing
    * the comma by a point in SYMBOL DECIMAL replaces
    * clic on applying
    * your PC starts again
    You should have a point in the place of the comma and GE should better read your position GPS.

  • Hi Olli,
    as mentioned make sure that GPS can get lock ( being outside), and use point ( dot) instead of comma for lat and long.
    Also, take a look at the Google Earth settings on the wiki page
    http://code.google.com/p/ardupilotgcs/wiki/GoogleEarth
    and double check the settings, especially "Fly-to Speed" parameter. You don't want to to be 0, but rather anything higher then 2.8
  • Hello Olli, I saw on your photograph of GS that you had commas for the position length and lat whereas the software wants points to separate.
    It is necessary that you exchanges on your PC in the control panel the comma by a point and you will correctly see your position on GE.

  • Hmmmm. Olli in Germany. Should be an east longitude, right? I bet you are showing up in the Atlantic exactly as far west of Greenwich / Prime Meridian as you should be to the east? I think that you have found a longitude parsing bug. It always plots the position west whether the sign of the longitude is + (east) or - (west).

    Do we have any other members with east longitudes that can confirm?
