Has someone tried these for mounting the APM on the centerplate?

They seem to be used quite often with the MK platform.

I like it in an APM installation. Using a tiny tiny amount of the silicon gel permits excellent vibration isolation, to me it is much better than foam tape:

looks interesting. but for me the 3M double adhesive tape (2-3 layers) is what I am using on 2 of my quads (one is the arducopter quad frame 28mm). Good catch tho
