Getting GPS out of Binary Mode and setting up

In my enthusiasm I loaded the 2.1 Ardupilot software (all seemed to work ok) and then realised I had not proved the servos were being driven in the correct direction using the NE software.I loaded the NE software and it does not work because I think the GPS has not been switched back to NMEA mode (the red LED is off on the GPS).Anyone know how to get the GPS back to NMEA output?I don't recall a method to prove the elevator servo is being driven in the correct direction - I think NE only tests the navigation and rudder. How is an elevator test done? Finally there is mention that the IR sensors can be mounted with the cable to the front - in the 2.1 software there is a sentence #define REVERSE_X_SENSOR 1 //1 = cable behind, 0 = cable front can someone confirm this can be used?regards Peter

If you just wait a week the GPS internal capacitor will run out and the GPS will return to the default NMEA mode.

You also connect it straight to your PC via an FTDI cable and change those settings with a utility like SirfDemo.

Yes, you can use the sensor setting to reverse the direction of the sensor.
