I cannot get into CLI no matter what I try. i try the three returns after it connects and nothing. i see one initiate message and then it goes to gibberish? i have tried it on two computers which both used to work and now neither of them do. Help....

This is why the wiki documentation needs a full time worker to keep it up to date and relevant. This *exact* question has been asked numerous times.
Sometimes like this demonstrates, having bad misleading documentation is worse than having no documentation at all.
ok, i found LOG_BITMASK in the setup list. what i want isn't there anymore? i want to turn on INAV to get rate of climb (estimated) to graph and review. INAV isn't there anymore? How do i get rate of climb (estimated)? i understand things change but isn't change supposed to be documented? how do i find the person who did this so i can ask them the questions rather than bothering everyone?

You should use NTUN/ ATT as a replacement for logging the INAV messages. The ATT/NTUN messages have been updated to have more meaningful parameters.
The docs around using the CLI and it's replacement is happening, it shouldn't take long to get that up-to-date.
ok, i looked at ATT and NTUN and i dont' see rate of climb (estimated)? that variable used to be in INAV. How do i get that recorded so i can use it post mission?

i know the docs have issues and it would be nice if they were up to date, but... i agree with you completely. could you give me a "hint" as to where to go to change the settings i used to do in CLI? Please....

Is was disabled in APM2.x HW to save space in FW. You can do all the commands using the GCS. You don't need the CLI
thanks. what i want to do is manage the logs (and data) that is collected by the flash data process. i want to disable a bunch of the logs and turn on the raw log..... this doesn't tell me how to do that now that i cannot get into CLI....

by GCS do you mean the mission planner software? if so, where in there? i can't find it? i have read what i think is the latest documentation and it still says to use CLI?
