Hi all, as I've stated above.
My birthday is coming up, this may well be the last time I spend a chunk of money on myself for the next few years seeing as I have both a baby and a wedding coming up in the next year-or-so.
I've had a Trex 450 RC Heli for about six years now and have started to get a bit bored with it. Everytime I'm online and looking at things I may be able to do with it (I've done AP with a very ligth camera, and tried basic 3D stuff too) I always end up looking at quads. And now it looks like a lot has changed since I last had a look.
I'm thinking about buying:
ArduCopter 3DR-B Frame + Motors Kit
APM 2.0 Purple Full Kit Assembled
I already have a Spektrum DX6 and several LIPOs, a charger, etc.. Is that all I would need to get going, my main aim is to get the basic setup that can fly in stable and simple mode.
So I really have two questions.
1) Would the items I've mentioned above form a complete and ready to fly Quadcopter?
and 2) Has anyone had any issues with the DX6 and quads? I know with regular helis and using a FMA CoPilot I've had issues with flight modes, but will I be ok to fly stabalised/simple with this setup?
Thanks in advance!

Well, I've done it. I woke up this morning and everything looked like it was in stock, or atleast I could add them to my cart (except the 3DR radio but I can get that later) and the NZ dollar looked pretty good against the US.
So I have the APM2 and 3DR-B Frame and Motors kit on the way.. Wish me luck! I'm going to go and sit out front and wait for the FedEx guy.
gotta go the whole hog mate and get the Sonar, Optical flow, xbee's - once the rings on her finger and the baby is out you wont have a cent left
make sure you dont skimp on the extra 15 bucks for the GPS.. also 880 kv's and the 12" props.. might as well get another set of motors and ESC's and make it and octoquad! i have 4 more motors and ESC's on order, cant wait to get home and play with it all
Havent played with the DX6, i use a eurgle 9x that i got from ebay for 70 bucks and im getting the smartieparts backlight and programming thingy for it.
