Hi,
Could you please recommend a decent gimbal 2 axis stabilization system.
I currently use built in Wookong M 2 axis stabilizer but it has substantial lag as the gyros are not installed on the camera mounting plate plane, even with the highest gain value.
I am looking for a system where a gyro sensor is installed directly on the camera mounting plate to ensure identical physical dimensions and angulation.
I found a system on Hobbyking but it is somewhat pricey. Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

I see that this discussion stopped around April. Did anyone manage to bring a gimbal stabilization using brushless motors brought to market?
It looks like the AlexMos BaseCam Gimbal controller is the way to go for brushless gimbal motors but viacopter doesn't seem to have it available yet.

There is also a german supplier that is in the process of getting one on the market

The Hobbyking KK-2 board ( cheap 25 dollar) can be used for camera stabilization if you put in the write firmware.
Right now I am using the APM 2.0 but I can only get it to work with arducopter firmware. I still have to modify the code to have it work for arduplane for my Skywalker Aerial Photography search and recovery drone.
I also have a Fieyu FY-30A that can be used for 3 axis gimbal control.
I agree that brushless gimbal motors are the way to go and RC timer is starting to sell them

Now I'm trying to find a plug and play brushless gimbal motor controller.

Brushless Gimbals are the only way to go. Check this site out http://www.simplebgc.com/eng/ There are other sites out there and
I'm surprised it has'nt been discussed a lot more on DIY drones.
