GPS lock ONLY on USB?

Hey guys, doing some testing it would seem i am only getting a GPS lock on USB, nothing when connected to the battery. I have done several test, connected the battery and literally left the hex in the same place for around 30 minutes and the blue led continues to flash.

Connected to USB, and i had a 3D fix in under 2 minutes. I have repeated this test several time with the same results. Any ideas?

uBlox GPS, 2.9.1 tried with a 3S and 4S battery, same problem!

    I must say, these APMs are slowly getting worse and worse with more and more bugs emerging. They are growing more and more unreliable and to be honest, i would actually rather a Naza over a APM right now for this very issue.
