Gps Locosys LS20031 & Elevation Rudder Question

Hello,

i built the plane up (a old twinstar) and everything is set up so far. (Airspeedtube, Gps, Z-Sensor, XY-Senosr, firmware loaded)

The gps a Locosys LS20031 seems not to work, the leds on the gps himself just start lightning when i connect the Usb to the ardupilot, but when the usb is disconnected it seem not to get a gpslock.

In the manual i have read instructions for a gps called EM406 GPS to change the Code, is there something i have to change in the Code to get my LS20031 to work?

The other Question i have is concerning the servos,

i have set up everything as told but the elvation rudder does not move in coming home or waypoint modus when i touch the fma sensors. I can move the elevation rudder in manual mode with the remote. Any ideas?

Thanks

  • Maybe it has to do with the reciver, does it have to have a special Mode or so?

Mine i running at PPM18 but there are other modes like PPM24, SPCM20 and PCM20
  • in the visual gps programm (command monitor window) i get the same readings as in the serial monitor of the arduino programm it starts by saying the version of ardu pilot followed by coordinates when i switch to port 3 38400bps.
But - all the other graphs stay emty, not like on your screenshot shown. Do i have to be outside to do this?

You mentioned i have to transfer a program dedicated to each specific data rate, can you tell me how please?

    Thanks so far

You'll have to give us more details to diagnose. How are you connecting the GPS? Did you set the config file to NMEA? Have you programmed the GPS for the right baud rate?
