HDMI to analog for video transmission?

Hey all,

What are people doing to get video transmission from cameras that have HDMI output but no analog video connector?

I've seen HDMI-VGA converters, which I think in theory could be hacked to just get the analog pin connected to the video tx, but they're big chunky boxes, not the best fit for small aerial platforms.

Any tips appreciated.

I use this converter with a Sony NEX. I find the size acceptable for a small quad.
