Is there a way to use the heading from two distant GPS antennas ? I am thinking of using this heading with Lidar Lite data to properly orient the laser beam.
I read we can only log the second GPS position. So it would possible to post process everything, considering a good timestamp for both laser and GPS.

You can with a gps based heading sensor, but this is doing cleverer stuff than just doing trig on the two lat/long positions.
using the 2 serial outputs the gps units would probably need to be too far apart for copter use. Even the gps heading sensors may be too big.
if you mean one on copter one on the ground, then yes, the further the horizontal distance the more accurate it would be.
I will add, I don't know if anyone has used a gps heading sensor with apm, or if there is a compatible unit available.
