Pascal P. commented on Tomi Piriyev's blog post Dronee - How to set sony RX0 to get perfect mapping results.
"I do 2 cm and more. But 2 cm is difficult to get with plane or wing, due to speed and overlap. Sensefly Soda has even 2.9 sec interval, bad for low altitude high res mapping.
So the need for multicopters for these jobs, where a fast triger camera…"

Pascal P. commented on Ellen Zhu's blog post Skywalker X8 Honeycomb composited material sharing
"I think the market tendency is simple operation (no catapult, no parachute, lightweight wings). And we see more and more Vtols. It seems your nice looking material needs quiet VTOL landing."

Pascal P. commented on Kristaps Brass's blog post UgCS 2.12 Has Been Released

Pascal P. commented on Tersus GNSS's blog post GNSS-Aided Inertial Navigation System
"It is completely in-line with his market, which is definitely not DIY. A complete basic Lidar system for drone starts around 100.000 € and goes quickly up. It is roughly a Velodyne rotating laser (8.000 €) + GNSS + INS + acquisition part. So 15.000…"

Pascal P. replied to Paul Spaur's discussion Using a Parrot Disco for aerial mapping
"Interesting discussion. Any progress on this ?
Having a good camera is an issue  on this size of wing. Sensfly uses the Sony WX-150 which is 123 gr only."
