Helicopter PID

Don't know if any of the Traditional Heli guys would be interested but i was thinking of making a list of PID numbers that work for each model of helicopter, Trex, Raptor, Shuttle and xcell in my case.

Might be worth posting your numbers here. it would at least give first timers a faster start time.

Any thoughts?

  • Malcolm Churn did an awesome Ardrucopter instructional Setup manual For Traditional Heli,  Using Mission Planner and Ardruino programmer. Every step was mentioned clearly and any newbie like myself can follow this manual ( Thanks Malcolm). but when it came down to setting up the PID...The problems start. Trying to figure the list of settings and screen options for the settings in MP (configuration tab) its like reading a road map... this might seem like that to me cuase i am a newbie. And i think i am not alone, cuase following this forum i see alot of us are having problem trying to get the right setting...Is there an easier way to set the PID or get The PID for Traditional Heli....If there is  please.......please ..please lead the the way....... i have been testing and scratching my head for a couple of days already....

    Thanx

    Malcolm,

Great idea.  Chris had the same idea in a more general sense and he made this blog post.

I think the idea is that you just post your file to that blog and chris will then copy them to this wiki page:

Good idea. You can save Configuration settings from the Mission Planner, which is the way we trade PIDs for various airframes in planes and multicopters.
