[help need] I must have missed something

Hi everyone !

I'm new in the UAV world, trying for second time to understand how an UAV fly and what's the job of every part of it (the first try what a bad timing). I had started by buying a second hand DIY drone that was in far worse state than what have been said : not the better choice, but, damn, if it's a DIY thing, I must be able to repair it !

Today, I have my NAZA-M Lite working with the AR6210 receiver and the DX6i bind to it. Using the Naza software, I can see that the 4 main inputs are responding well and I was able to calibrate them.

But, when I power up my UAV, it goes in Fail Safe mode (the orange led blinking slowly). I had understood that the DX6i doesn't have a Fail Safe switch but that this mode is activate when the signal is lost.

In the Naza software, the U channel doesn't react to anything I can try on the transmitter.

What have I missed ???

  • I fond a page giving a way to use the DX6i with 3 different flight mode. I have tryed it and seen that the default value of my U channel change during the process, but switching the F-Mode switch never change its value.

It looks like my DX6 is blocked in fail safe flight mode... Is there an option that can have this effect ?

    • hello,
DX6i needs a compatible receiver that supports failsafe & you need to set it up properly example when you turn off your TX this should put your model in to failsafe ! think if you read the documentation you will find your Rx does need the correct signal also from FC must be detected at start up when you turn on your model other wise it not set up properly you need to read the documentation!
