One of my motors is getting extremely hot. I was checking the motor direction after calibrating the ESC's and I noticed one of the motors got too hot to touch. All of the others were ok. It only does it when the motor is moving. I tested the temp before arming and after arming and the motor stays cool. But it heats up quick while running. ESC temp for that motor feels the same as others. Wiring looks ok. I thought maybe it was a friction problem so I opened up the motor, but there is no sign of any rub marks and the bearings spin freely. Any idea what is going on? Bad motor? Bad ESC? PS - The motors are jdrones 880's and the ESCs are jdrones 30A. Thanks, Greg

I had the same problem. Same motor, same ESC. At one point there was smoke coming out of it. It's my second bad motor out of a batch of 8.
Looks like it is a bad motor. I switched the bad motor to a different ESC; it still got hot. Put a good motor on the ESC that the bad motor was on; no problem. Oh well, have to order a new one.
That motor is allmost burt up... It has a short so its using a lot of current...
That is what I am thinking... Eddie
