Hi DIY drones,
I am creating an autonomous boat.
This is my schematic so far:
I guess the above are my options? Can anyone suggest the best method and how to get the UBEC connected to the ESC?
I am stuck on the powering of the servo. The waterproof servo I have purchased (but have yet to receive) takes input voltages of between 6.0V-7.4V- which is problematic because if I use the APM 2.5 board to power the servo directly the maximum the APM 2.5 can output is 5.3V which is below the required 6V...I have seen suggestions for connecting the servo through the ESC also...
Also, regarding the ESC if I connect it directly to the APM I am connecting the two wire positive and negative ends to the APM directly?
I also have a seperate UBEC for my ESC. As for the UBEC connection how does it fit with the ESC? I've read some forum posts about using a 'female JST Battery pigtail' . - which is this one here:
This is the ESC I have:
And here is the UBEC:
You can also see that the connectors don't seem to mesh- the ESC has connections to the motor which take standard bullets. The UBEC ones are something else. The APM power module connector I have bought have XT60 connectors. I take it i will be changing some of the connectors along the way to make it all mesh, but I'm uncertain of what to change...
Much appreciated,
Michelle
