I'd like to use a different type of current sensor

Been working a little bit this weekend on my ArduCopter, and now to the point of setting up the battery voltage/current monitor.

I see the AttoPilot part is not in stock where I would normally purchase from. There is a sensor I have laying around from a robot project last year. It is an Allegro ACS756SCA-100B, maybe some you have seen it before. I think it's pretty popular and quite usefull.

Might I use this?

  • Where did you get the breakout board for those chips?

It will with the Arducopter boards but you'll need to make some code modifications to make it scale correctly, as (from memory) those chips show current both ways, so you'd need to make the code scale from 2.5v to 5v to get the current.
