I need help with 2 motors running!!!

I'm finishing up putting together my arducopter. Everything is connected and escs are calibrated. I uploaded the alpha code to the APM and the uploaded went well. I have a steady led green light. The problem is that when I connect the battery and plug the USB cable to the computer, two of the motors star rotating without stopping. I just wantt to use the configurator tool. This only happen as soon I plug the USB cable. I'm using the bec from one of the esc and the other 3 escs have the red power cable disconnected. So power to the APM is only going from one ESC and the USB cable. Do anybody had have that problem here? if so, How could I correct it?

  • The only problem with it, is that how do I use the trasmitted adjustment and motor commads, just using the USB alone? I don't want to blow my out puts. I need to adjust all that. I'm going to try something else tonigh, to see if it works.
  • Yes, it is a custom hardware set-up, I bouth the APM board and the oilpan boards from somebody else that decided to stopped his project and the GPS, magnetometer and other parts were ordered from DYI store. As per the power distribution board, it was builded with a little piece of PCB and two pieces of copper wire soldered across each other. I tested each ouput with the escs and motors and they are working fine. This behavior just happen when I want to start to use configurator tool and I plug the USB cable to the computer, two of the escs start to sound and proceeding by the motors rotating. As I said before, the APM is loaded with the last Alpha code with not problem. This behavior started to happen after I calibrated the ESCS. I'm gonna start from scratch again to try to solve this problem.
    Here is my set-up

    Ardupilot Mega APM
    oilpan board
    4X AXI 2208/34 motors
    4x ACE 40A esc BIG-40 7-4V 18.8V
    MAGNETOMETERS
    GPS
    spektum AR7000 RX
    custom build power distribution
    2x 8x3.8 SF SLO-FLYER PROPS
    2X 8x3.8 SL-FLYER PUSHER

Thank you Chris for the response, and I'm sorry for that. I'm new building quandcopters. But I'm learning.

It looks like you'vet got totally custom hardware, so it's hard to diagnose. Could be anything: your power distribution board (if you have one), soldering, your ESCs, your configuration, etc. You'll have to show pictures of more of your setup and describe the steps you took before people can advise you.
