input rails are not connected to output rails after a crash.

Hi guys!!

I don't know if it is the result or the consequence, but the think is I had a crash. I am checking APM 2.0 and I encountered some of the outputs pins a bit bended and the output pin nuumber one ( the one next to gps ) as well. I fix this, and apparently no more damages. However, I used to power APM 2.0 using The bec power rails of my ESC connected to outputs on APM 2.0. The thing is it is no longer working. I tested with a voltimeter and negative rail of inputs and outpus are still connected, but positive rail and signal rail are not. Of course I checked if the jumper is connected and working and it is. Maybe, some solder of the board got damaged. The thing is that if I power the board trhough inputs it works so it has to be something thtat connect both inputs and outputs that got damaged. Another thing is that the GPS seems to be well soldered from the pins side but then on the side of the 3 pins, they seem to be on the air, without being soldered. Is this normal?

Thanks!!

  • So how could this that be possible, connection one way and strange connection the other way around? as @Monroe said, a short??

Positive and negative are supposed to be connnected all the time if the jumper is on, so if not...can anyone  please tell me a short step by step of things to do or check to make sure all necessary pads are connected and functioning? I have a voltimeter so I can check connectivity and stuff.

I resist to the idea that I have to through away my shiny APM due to this strange behaviour.. :(

    thank you!

  • No one knows what could had happened or what to do/check? Please help
  • Update : if i power the APM 2.0 trhough inputs, I get 5V on outputs. However, if I do the way I used to do it, that is, powering APM 2.0 through outputs, I just get 1.5 V on Input rails. Any ideas or things you guys want me to try??

Circled are the pins that I don't know if the must be connected or not...The thing is..I don't see the pad to solder the pins so I assume they don't have to be soldered anywhere...
