Hello all! I'm new to UAVs and thought I'd post my plans. I am working with a university to try to develop a UAV platform for research purposes. We are looking to carry a decent payload (~1kg or better) for research instruments. We are very close to purchasing an ArduCopter Hexa kit with larger motors, ESC's, telemetry and sonar. We would like to get everything assembled and autopilot capable by January to demo for grant funding. It's an ambitious project with a tight deadline so I'm sure I'll be relying heavily on this community for support. Anybody want to try to talk me out of it? -Greg
