Has anyone experiencing fast altitude losses (around 10-20FT) when loitering close to ground, followed by an overshoot after if it tries to go back to the original altitude?
It also sometimes just hovers very close to ground after the altitude loss happens, then I have to either increase throttle or get it back to manual stabilize mode to gain control.
Circle performance is also similar, it cannot even complete a 360 w/o losing altitude.
IRIS is all stock, the only thing I did was AutoTune and the compass orientation.
ps. my previous boards were HK APM2.5 and 3DR APM2.6 had much better performance on both loiter and circle.

I hope your not using the sonar ! That definitely doesnt work well, better off without it.
I think one of the 3.x had a known issue with loiter losing height. I cant recall if its been fixed or if the latest release has the prob.
No sonar indeed, I had the APM2.6 with sonar and agree that you are better w/o it.
One more thing I forgot to mention is that, while IRIS physically loosing altitude, Mission planner displays no change on the real time altitude received from the IRIS.
GPS readings fluctuation may be, and if its' due to bad GPS antenna location inside the shell, has anyone relocated it to get any stable readings?
