So i have been attempting to get my Iris+ to connect to Mission Planner on my laptop so that i may attempt to fix some of the issues i believe it may be having thus far regarding the EKF and the Compass. Here is the link to my previous post describing what has happened up to this point with response from other member here at DIY drones.
I turn on my Controller, Plug in the battery on the Iris, the warning light flashes red repeatedly and the LED light on the Stern is a solid red with a warning buzzer going off repeatedly. I am unable to connect it to mission planner using an open com port and the 57600. Has anyone ever experienced this? I cannot find info on this particular issue anywhere online and could use some help

Couple of questions:
Has it been in the air since the above mentioned crash?
Have you attempted the start up procedure with success prior to this issue?
Have you removed the SD card from the PixHawk and looked at the files for any errors?

I have not had it back in the air since the last crash

I have not been able to have a successful start up since the last crash. Have onLy had unsuccessful startup attempts.

I removed the sd card from the PH in order to get to the data flash logs. I just realized I have not re-installed it as its sitting in my card reader still. Would the sd card not being in the PH cause this lack of start up? I am going to re-install it and attempt the start up procedure again. Feelin like a dumb ass about this but I appreciate the help.

geez, I feel very much amateurish. It was most definitely that there was no sd card in the PixHawk. That is a mistake i WILL NOT make again as it only served to provide me with hours of fun not being able to connect to the Iris. I am very grateful for your list of questions as it is what helped me to be aware of my mistake. The Iris is now connected to mission planner and I can begin the procces of learning how to change the parameters that caused my original crash issue.
