After I do all the calibrations and make sure my apm and shield are level and I start hovering, my arducopter always seems to want to drift backwards. If I move the battery forward some I can counter act the drift, but is anyone else having this problem or anyone have any suggestions for fixes on this?

hi, double check the arms are level too maybe, in my kit there is a fair amount of play and i suspect a few degrees could make a bit of a difference. Also i had to do a bit of tuning on the RC trims to make it stable bit still experience a bit of drift so need to see if i can dial it in more.

are your RC values exactly 1500 when centered?
if not -> trim it to get them there
