Is anyway having a problem with drifting backwards?

After I do all the calibrations and make sure my apm and shield are level and I start hovering, my arducopter always seems to want to drift backwards. If I move the battery forward some I can counter act the drift, but is anyone else having this problem or anyone have any suggestions for fixes on this?

  • are your RC values exactly 1500 when centered?

    if not -> trim it to get them there

  • hi, double check the arms are level too maybe, in my kit there is a fair amount of play and i suspect a few degrees could make a bit of a difference. Also i had to do a bit of tuning on the RC trims to make it stable bit still experience a bit of drift so need to see if i can dial it in more.
