I downloaded the latest version arduino-1.0-windows from the arduino site and it compiles the ArduCopter V2.5.4 just fine. Do I really need the relaxed version?

After trying out different combinations, I figured out the right combo. I guess I failed to mention that I was using Arduino For Visual Studio (VS) with VS 2010. It is VS 2010 that doesn't agree with the relaxed Arduino 1.0. When I compile with just the relaxed Arduino 1.0 (not using VS), it runs perfectly fine.
Oh the other hand, inside VS, it gives whole bunch of error when using the relaxed Arduino. With the normal Arduino, VS compiles perfectly fine. There is one other advantage using Arduino in VS: you don't need to copy the library directory into the Arduino directory, as long as you have the "Parent Libraries" parameter set to True inside the Viusal Micro option menu. This way, you can open up and compile any versions of ArduCopter without worrying about mixing the wrong version of libraries. :)
they may of added the patch to newer versions can't see anything in the change log through.
