Just upgraded to 2.0.29 - Big Improvement

For the last couple of weeks my Hexa has been flying like a dog ....Just run planner to install 2.0.29 and my world is back in order.  A massive improvement with sonar altitude hold working the best ever....

The most stable in ages and haven't had to tune the PIDs on my home made hexa - amazng.

Only tried it in the garden and will put it through its paces tomorrow when I have more space.

GUYS - any chance you could get camera stabalization working in outputs 5 and 6 when downloading with planner.

Thanks again.

Philip

  • Yes indeed a big improvement.

I finally got some stableflight with adjusting my pids.

    These are now for stable R&P 0.13 / 0.024 / 0.079

Being so low, is there a reason for this comparing with the default ones?

For the rest it seems that I'm having a problem with the sonar again.I don't know if its a code problem or what.

When in alt hold it hold very well but when I put my hand under it it goes up again without stopping.

What I also noticed on the GCS once surpassed 7 meter is jumps to 1 or 2 meters. I think the data from the BAro isen't correct or something.

Keep up the good work. Its looking great!!!!

  • Thanks to the Arducopter team for updating to 2.0.30.  Now Camera stabilization works when downloading with planner.

Is there any way to set reversing of servos for camera stabilization via the planner?  Unfortunately I keep getting errors when trying to upload using Arduino 0022. Thanks

Don, Can you dump me a log of the sonar alt hold problem?

I can't figure out what's up with the panner. So odd! I'll ask Michael O.

  • Geez this is probably driving the coders crazy.. My alt-hold/loiter will not work with sonar enabled, slow rise with no control of altitude until you exit alt-hold/loiter (yes running 2.0.29 uploaded from arduino-0022)
