Hi all

I am looking for some software that allows me to keep the image that is sent from my onboard camera on my UAV continuously pointed in one direction, preferrably North, as the UAV loiters.

It should be possible, as the APM sends a compass direction to the computer, I just don't know how to integrate the video and the heading.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Adam

  • You can get high quality compass with a mount from a diving shop or store, cheap too that can be viewed from any angle. Just an after thought Adam.
  • This is a standard feature in the 2.9+ Firmware.

Check in Advanced Parameters to only correct Yaw at end of mission.

You can also set an ROI for any missions.

It's all there in there Wiki

  • If the cam is on a gimbal and motored, does the fat shark glasses system not have a setting to operate directionally with head movement . I've haven't used myself but I'm sure I read somewhere this was being done. I'll try to update for you. You would need dual operators mind.
