  • Be aware that, I believe 3DR people are transitioning the Wiki pages to a new system (Wordpress?)  I don't have any info beyond that.  We were told not to update anything, starting sometime before Christmas.  That's largely why I haven't.  I don't know what might happen with the work you're doing.  Best to ask 3DR.

  • Hi Josh I edit the Arducopter Wiki periodically, so I'll see if I can help.

    First see below which is top part of the the TradHeli menu.

    == !ArduCopter Instructions ==

    * [ArduCopter What is ArduCopter?]
    * [Purchase Get it!]
    * [AC2_news Project news]
    * [AC2_history Project history]
    * ----
    * *Instructions for multirotor UAVs*:
    * [ArduCopter2 Multicopter (Quad, Tri, Hex, etc)]
    * *[ArduCopter2Quick Quick Start Guide]*
    * *[ArduCopter2SIM Simulator]*
    * *Assembly*
    * Preparing your APM board and software

    Of course the top line is just the title bar starting and ending with two = signs.

    the third line with the space and a asterisk and a space is the first actual menu item.

    the opening [ defines the text with no spaces that comes next as the name of the file you want to link to the text after the first space is what is actually displayed in the menu and the closing ] bracket terminates the link.

    So if you want to create a new menu item just select edit and then the new page tab to make a new page from scratch.

    Enter a filename without internal spaces and then after you have entered and saved the new file and exited, go back to the menu and edit it and insert a new line where you want it and enter the filename and description as I explained above.

    If you are simply editing existing Wiki pages of course you can just edit and resave them and if you need to modify edit the menu to reflect the change in the text portion of the link.

    The little Wiki markup guide to the right of the text you are using is also helpful as well as the (more Examples) link at the bottom of it.

    If you want to put in pictures, that is a whole different ball game and requires Git use and permissions to save the picture files, pity really and I hope they can eventually change it.

    This does assume you have permissions to edit documents.

    If not check with Chris or Randy.

    Hope this helps, feel free to contact me if I can be of any additional help.

    Gary McCray
