Limited Flight modes? (Using er9x)

Hi All,

I successfully set up my er9x to switch between all 6 Flight Modes thanks to

I set the 6 modes randomly, just to check that the setup actually works.

The strange thing I am asking about is this:

while the flight modes DO switch, as seen by the GREEN highlighted items,

the MP interface reports that the CURRENT MODE (top row) won't switch appropriately,

as highlighted in RED.

The same info is shown in the main window, in this case switched to F-mode 3

(Should be LOITER, but locked as STABILIZE)

NOTE: This might be related -

I am currently just checking radio communication with the APM2 board, ESCs are UN-ARMED.

(actually, the whole octo is disassembled... :-( bad crash..).

Any Ideas?

Would this "lockout" go away after arming the ESCs?

At the bottom of your HUD I can just make out that you don't have a gps lock. The APM won't switch to any mode that involves gps without a lock. Just take it outside and it should work. Happy you found my guide useful, it's just one way to do it, that's the beauty of er9x.
