LiPo Question

Hi,

How to know your battery level whether it is within the safe level during flight? (w/o voltage sensors) Is it a time limit?

The Story:
Before the maiden flight of my Quad, I was testing it a lot :) After some time, I realized the battery power has gone down. When I tried to charge, I saw it is below the chargeable range of my charger (detected 3SER of a 4SER battery). So I used NiMh mode to charge a bit so that I could charge the LiPo properly, it is being charged in LiPo mode now. :)

regards,

Japi.

  • The best is telemetry, but you can also buy lipo alarm to install in copter, this will notify you with lights and alarm. Inside this  forum somewhere there is a code for voltsensors that flash the lights with low volts

Be very very careful doing that. Its a bit like the old one of well I only tried the motor a couple of times before going flying but the battery ran out and real quick for no good reason.

If you want belt and braces safety buy one of these. They are cheap as chips and save the day!

You can get one at any good RC store or here

    Careful!

A lipo that has dropped below its minimum chargeable limit is dangerous.
