looking to purchase a drone w/ a camera

I am the owner of a small business, Sunday Morning Films. We produce wedding videos and I am looking to up my production value w/ a drone camera.

I am looking to hire someone to build a remote controlled drone with a camera (go pro camera, possibly) built in.

If anyone is interested in the job, or can lead me in the right direction, please email me at

Jenn@sundaymorningfilms.com

Thanks!

Jenn

  • Jenn, Not only that but currently Commercial Use of UAV aircraft is Illegal in the US.  The FAA has to come up with rules by 2015 but currently it is like speeding.  People do it, some get off with a warning while most don't get caught.

  • Where do I begin?

Learning to fly a multi-rotor is not as simple as it looks.  I've been learning for a couple of months and finally feel proficient to start adding a camera mount.  I also have a box of bent and broken parts from my learning experiences.  (Mostly props).  You will need a trained pilot to fly the thing.

Flying over a gathering of people is just dumb.  Too many things can go wrong with your flying lawnmower - hope your insurance agrees to cover you.

As much as I want to promote UAV photography, I think a 15-ft jib will be cheaper, more reliable and much easier to learn.
