  • Hi, yes it can but it is not particularly suitable.
    That probably is a mobile radio module with a converter to the old RS232 high voltage serial, put into a box and with a nice looking manual. Nothing more.
    You need to convert the serial signals to 5V level again. And you need to send the modem specific instructions on how to make the connection and where to.
    I have made a telemetry solution for DroneCell and other boards with the SIM 900 mobile module. It is an extra class for Ardupilot that does the connection build up automatically and just emulates a serial port in its software interface.
    Tell me if you want to use it. It is not a the easiest project as you need to know a few things about Ardupilot programming, the Internet and about how to connect and test serial things. Works well though!
