Hello all,
We are developing a quadrotor and having a problem with the magnetometer. The current drawn from the battery is affecting the magnetometer measurements. So, there is a drift in the heading angle when the motors are turned on.
We tried putting the cables away from the magnetometer. However, the battery is the main problem. It is over the magnetometer.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

hmm...if you have the magnetometer connected by a cable you should be able to place it further away from the battery.
I don't know of any way to make the mag immune to interference...i guess you could try to fly it around and see if the automatic offset nulling code can remove the impact of the battery...certainly there's no guarantee that will work so I'd recommend the simple approach which is just to put the mag further from the battery.
