I've been doing some PID tuning in Xplane with HIL simulation and after about 30 minutes the APM Planner (v1.0.82) is using about 300MB of memory, and after an hour its over 500MB. This makes it *really* slow switching between configuration and flight data screens (15-20seconds) and during this time data isn't being sent to Xplane so it usually crashes the plane.
Has anyone else experienced this, or is there any more information that would be required to help track down the issue?

I had the same problem.
In the Xplane I would use the about screen, then change the configuration in the APM Planner. When I could switch screens in the Planner, I go back to the Xplane and close the about window.
Seem to work good for me.
i do check for this, when debugging, but im thinking it might be your pc is to slow so the garbage collector cant keep up.
what did you have enabled? just hil? and video/other things running as well?
