MinimOSD alternatives for APM?

Do any other OSD's work with APM? I've had three minimOSD's, two from 3DR and one from RCTimer and all have stopped working and from what I've read this is quite common as the design is not very robust. I'm tired of buying them now.

What alternatives are there?

    I know this is an old thread, but after bricking I couple of minimOSDs I was wondering the same thing. It seems there is an alternative http://www.playuav.com/wiki/doku.php?id=projects:playuavosd:start IMHO the setup software doesn't look mature, but might still be worth checking out. I sure will.

    None that I'm aware of. You could use another OSD with its own GPS, maybe even tap off of the same GPS if baud is the same. You could have a beautiful graphic display then like with a DOSD. However you would lose information on your mode and waypoint distance and any other APM specific data.
    I personally have had very good luck with my $18 MinimOSD boards. I have 6 of them and I only fried 1 one with user error. Maybe you are doing something wrong? It is not tolerent of wiring mistakes, but if treated right they don't tend to fail.
