Mission Planner Issue and ideas

First my problem:

When running Mission Planner 1.0.54 (Windown Vista) Nothing is drawn on the maps. Not in the Planning tab or the Flight data tab. I can create WPs etc. but no waypoints shows up on the map. In the Flight data tab the plane symbol and the track is drawn. Closing the app and loading a previous version and everything looks ok.

Then my requests:

In the Status tap the current throttle output in percent would be very good to have. With this information i could see much power the APM uses to keep the requested airspeed. And use that when deciding the optimum cruise speed.

Some kind of counter timer when playing a log file. This would make it easier to go back to a specific place in the log and to guide people looking at your files.

Thanks for a great piece of software!

  • I am using 1.0.57 and my home alt is 5338 but the mission planner show 17,673 in the home alt box.  Why isn't the home alt 5338 which is what the GPS is reporting??

    Thank you.

  • Thanks for the %-indicator on the log file playback!

The problem with waypoints not showing on the map is still there on all versions above 1.0.50. Did you change anything in the map drawing rotuines after that version?

  • One really nice addition would off course be if you could add throttle, IAS, SOG and target speed to the tuning graph (or as an additional graph. Add actual pitch too. This way you can see if the plane has enough power to maintain speed during a climb.

  • I wonder if it could also track average throttle. The throttle can jump around quite a bit. If you knew the average throttle then you could set it to this level on the ground and run your battery flat to find out your maximum range and endurance time. You could then fly at different speeds to see how these impacted on distance and time.

ill have a look a the throttle %.
as for the log position i added a % to the log now. so you can direct people using that.
