Motors spinning at zero throttle

I am building my first quadcopter using APM 2.6 I am facing this problem after arming APM 2.6 when i increase throttle motor start spinning and they spin even after throttle is zero.

I calibrated ESC's using APM board and tried to trim transmitter but that doesn't help.

  • If i recall theres an option to spin the motors when they are armed, which of course means no throttle will still do a small spin. To change this you will need to go to the option in Mission Planner that shows all your parameters. Its a long list and has a name like "Advanced parameters". The parameter (sorry cant remember the name) takes a value that starts at 0. You most likely have it set to a non zero value which results in a slow span. Bigger numbers mean faster spinning on arm. Change it to 0 to disable.

    • thanks for your quick reply I am using APM Planner 2.0 and in that under standard params I find THR_MIN param which is right now 130. Will you help me what that value mean and how much i will set it so that motor will not spin if there is no throttle.

      Thanks
