I am using Mission Planner 1.3.19 operating in the Phoenix Valley. 3 of the towered airports have red circles with white dashed lines around them and the rest do not. Are these geo-fences or just a visual alert that you are within 3nm of the airport? Not that I will fly without permission, but will APM 2.6 arm within the circles?

visual alerts only, they don't prevent anything,
Thanks Michael,
Is there a way to change the radius of the circles from 3 miles to 5 miles for US airports to align with the new regs?
currently no, there is no way to change it from the user interface.
the data comes from here http://ourairports.com/
Thanks Michael
Then there's something wrong because airport LPCS isn't appearing
looks like its listed as a light airport
http://ourairports.com/airports/LPCS/pilot-info.html
so it is not shown.
LoL
and the air force base is listed as a Regional Airport……http://ourairports.com/airports/LPST/pilot-info.html
and other air force base also as a regional airport http://ourairports.com/airports/LPMT/pilot-info.html
Isn’t there a better site to get this info ??

Where does this data come from? I ask you this because there are air force bases marked but a well known airport (LPCS http://www.gcmap.com/airport/LPCS) is not.
