0 My EasyStar setup? Posted by Peter-Hans de Zwarte on August 5, 2010 at 3:42am Hi, I am new to this hobby and hope to get some advise here.I am planing on building a DIY drone of course, so i just bought myself an EasyStar kit. After doing some research, this is the setup I am planning to buy for it:Tx/Rx:Futuba 6EXP, 6EXG or 7C. (Will come back to this later.)Charger and batteries:Turnigy Accucel-6:http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=70282 x ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh 3S1P 20C: http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6306ESC and motor:TURNIGY Plush 30amp:http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2164HXT 2835:http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5203Servos:3 x Hitec HS-81:http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LM0695&P=MOther stuff:Pushrod Snap Connectors 1.5mm (5pack):http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=4365TGS Sport 6x4E Precision propeller:http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=7936Shaft adapter to suit 3.175mm motor shaft (collet): http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5676So I have four questions:1: Is this a good setup for a newbie who first wants to learn to fly the plane, and the begin playing with ArduPilot?2: Which connectors and stuff would you recommend for what? Or do they come with the kit?4: Can I mount the plane without glue so I can open it later, or if not, what glue should I use?5: Is there something else missing, or do I have everything I need to get flying if I buy this?(Sorry for my bad English.) You should only need 2 servo's for the standard rudder & elevator setup.
