Hello, First off let me say that my Ublox is working excellent. I need some advice from an adanced Ublox setter upper. I am trying to either set up the Ublox to periodically send the NAV-TIMEUTC field (0X01,0X21)or poll it from the Aurdupilot. I want to put a time stamp on my log files. I have a Openlog operating on my Ardustation. The manual is not to clear(to me anyway) on how to send a polling message to the GPS. This would be my preferred choice. I got it to run periodically in U-center but could't get it to stick. After power cycling the GPS the change in U-enter message view UTC time was gone. While i was in there i noticed that the 'Dynamic platform model" was set for 'Automotive' instead of one of the "Airborn" choices. This change also did not stick. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sending an empty message is the polling message.

Send the GPS the NAV-TIMEUTC (page 76) with length = 0 to poll the receiver.
You can always receive this message periodically (CFG-MSG)
regarding the save problem, checkout CFG-CFG and select "Save current Config", that should save your config into the non volatile memory :-)
Cheers.
Not an owner ... I only played with a borrowed ublox for a short while. To "make it stick" I think you are looking for the command to write the RAM to non-volatile storage ... UBX-CFG-CFG ? But doesn't the config program have something built in to do that? Yes, you do have to manually tell it to save the changed settings to non-volatile memory after you make the changes.
