Hi all I have never built a quad before. I have had a pre built one tho. So I have built the quad. I'm using apm.26 to which I have done nothing. Built the quad installed all the radio gear and that's it tried powering it up and turned on trannie and.... All that happens is the esc's,beep like crazy.is that normal at this stage? Do I need to configure apm 2.6 1st?

Thanks Gary... I originally used my old apm 2.5 that was set up on a different quad and it hovered great. Until you put a stick movement in and it drifted and lost altitude until it found the ground. I thought maybe this new apm was faulty or something. Thanks again so much appreciated.

Hi Anthony,
You need to load apmcopter firmware to APM and then configure it.
Then you will need to calibrate the ESCs.
