Hi allSince losing all my kit in an accident last year and being away ive decided to start again and all i can say is its moved on a bit from rcap2:-)Anyway my new aircraft are a 62" dh beaver from kit and a 110" pzl wilga from plans and im going to be fitting the following to either one.Ardupilot v2 for flight stabilisation and navigation using a locosys 200031 gps and daughterboard900mhz 500mw aerial video system with downlink8mp fuji stills camera on stabilized platformrange video osd systemwith the ground system comprising a 0.9ghz 8dbi patch antenna and track r2 head tracker with rvision high res googles. Im currently using an old sanwa conquest transmitter I have lying around but I have just ordered an rd8000.....I have a few other test pieces planned that need some coding finished for them along with some mechanics. I have a few questions though since its been a while...1. do you still use althold and zlog4 for holding and recording altitude?2. whats the expected release date for ardupilot that uses the z sensor?3. Has anyone used the uhf conversion kit for your transmitter thats on one of the posts on this forum? If so what have people thought about it?4. Has anyone had any advaces with the patch antenna tracking? I have a few ideas for it but haven't started anything..5. Is there anyway to get live map tracking...so I can view in realtime on google earth, memory map etc in live time whereabouts the aircraft is. I know im going to get lat/long/altitude from the range video osd but would still like to track it over a map..6. I was saw on this forum(i think?) a product that allowed you to connect your transmoitter to a joystick and fly the aircraft through the joystick...Can anyone remember what the products is call/where i can get it from..once i start getting them built up i will post some pics..thanks all.

Here is a picture of my new aircraft. I like them to resemble real aircraft so have based it on a britten norman islander/defender flown by the RAF/Army. The fuselage is about 5ft and wingspan 88".
I have just moulded up from blue foam and close weave fibre glass another fuselage based on the c23 sherpa that is 6ft in length and 7ft in span. I'll post pics of that when it is done.
I believe what you are looking for is the PC joystick to transmitter adapter by edurance-rc com, called the PC/TX.
I have found that it is not compatible with Futaba 6 EX 2.4 ghz system, but will work for most others.
It is especially helpful for pan and tilt video when flying FPV since you find you run out of thunbs for flying and panning at the same time (if you are not using a head mount gyro)
