Hi all,

I just received an APM 1.0 module from udrones (have a 2.0 on backorder), but am stuck on a certain step of the setup. What I've accomplished so far:

1) Uploaded ardupilot 2.27 alpha from the mission planner

2) Wired up my receiver and a few servos and my 'gear switch' to input 8 so I can toggle between 2 modes.

3) Calibrated my radio, and verified that I can see the PWM settings changing and can control some servos through the output pins in MANUAL mode.

4) Got frustrated trying to get IMU data to read out so I went and checked out latest code from git, copied over library folders, and uploaded current master.

I am stuck trying to get MissionPlanner to read out any IMU data or GPS data as described here:

I know the IMU on my board works, because I can use the CLI in test mode to see y/p/r change, but am unable to get the flight display or status to read out.

Does switch 2 need to be in a certain position for this to work? I've tried toggling it to no effect. I don't get any gps info either, even though the blue led on my external GPS is solid (indicating lock?).

    Did you load the ArduPlane flight software or the HIL sim version from the Mission Planner? 

    The CLI switch should be in flight mode (towards front). Reset the board when you move the switch.
