Hello again,
I've been successfully using the UBLOX and adapter for the past 2 weeks or so.
Worked fine yesterday. Still had a solid red LED when I brought the plane inside. No crashes or mishandling.
This morning I could not get the Gps to lock.
The red LED on the Oilpan just kept flashing 15mins plus multiple attempts, outside.
When I investigated the hardware I noticed the Adapter was partially disconnected from the gps module at the plug between the two components.(hot glue failed)
Completely disassembled the two pieces and examined under microscope, everything appeared fine.I Ohmed out the 4 connections between the APM and Adapter from board to board.
After reassembly ran GPS test in the CLI.
This is what I get inside or outside.

ECT..............
Is it it possible that the GPS firmware can be corrupted if the adapter is removed from the Ublox while powered?
All the other tests in the CLI show normal parameters.
The only other thing that comes to mind as far as changes is that this morning before the problem occurred I was using APM Planner and wrote my first attempt at a flight plan consisting of 2 waypoints to the EEPROM.
Thanks for any advice. Joe

You can use uCenter to test and configure the uBlox directly, but will need an adaptor cable and a Sparkfun FTDI board to do this. See this photo and this blog
