Noob question regarding AH returning to level

OK, im new.. So bare with me..

Just benchtested apm2.5 and all working ok and as expected. firmware 2.7.0

Mounted into plane and now getting some very strange results.

To keep it short. (ish)

APM2.5 mounted 90deg in the roll and set in board orientation. (left side of board when looking from top down, forward front, to bottom of plane)

APM boots up, levels the HUD AH all good so far.

Now the issue if i pitch or roll the plane I see the AH move in the correct direction to the correct angle (and in stab mode, the servos move to correct), however if I hold the plane at any given attitude the AH slowly creeps back to show level(servos now move in opposite direction which would cause increase in attitude). even though the plane it maintained at say a 20deg pitch up. Of course this isn't correct and im not sure what school boy error im making.

Having looked through the forum and wiki I cant see anything that points me in the right direction.

I have Ubloc GPS, 3dr telemetry set up and working... Could this be some interference? GPS issue?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, the new boy.

  • Update: Just mounted the board in the normal flat orientation and turned off the setting for orientation and all is as it should be.

Going to mount the APM2.5 level for now and wait until I know more about what I'm doing before changing the orientation.

    Thanks
