One Doubt about ArduCopter

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to connect to arduquad another board with sensors and a microcontroller running a Real Time Operating System.

Thank very much

  • Our idea is to keep the Arduino processor as interface with the sensors and actuators currently on the board. In addition, we are thinking adding complex sensors and processing (ultrasound or laser sensors and input CMOS camera). Our target is to build a navigation system as autonomous as possible with object avoidance capabilities. In order to do that, we plan to connect these sensors to another processor board (a FPGA one) for sending navigation commands to the Arduino processor.
  • You mean use the Arducopter hardware kit (frame, motors etc) and your own IMU and Controller? Sure that's possible. It would take a large amount of work though. Perhaos you can be more specific about what you want to achieve?
This is all open source, you can connect it to an airconditioner if you fancied.
